Prologue: Crash Corrigan

A scientist friend of mine tells me that if it can’t be measured, it doesn’t exist. Well, I am here to tell you that she’s wrong. I know from experience that these things exist.

There are things around us that we can’t see, can’t hear and can’t feel. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t as real as you and me. We can’t see the wind, but we see what it does every day. And just like the wind, stuff happens around us that can’t be explained. And the reason it can’t is what this story is all about.

The Bible talks about creatures that surround us, watching us and doing things to help and hurt us. It calls these things angels and demons, but trust me, they’re not like the creatures we see in comics and on TV. Angels aren’t fluffy pansy-like creatures with wings, and demons aren’t red babies with forked tails and pitchforks. They’re much worse. If you knew how much worse, you might not want to hear my story.

Other people have had first-hand experiences with angels, and with demons. That’s not counting the stories from the Bible. I’m talking about people like you and me in just the past few years. But no one has seen what I’ve seen, and heard what I have heard.

It all started the day that I became famous and died at the same time….
