Reality Strikes

I know that I have been cheating the past week or two. If you’ve been paying attention, you’ve seen that I’ve been posting a lot of older blogs–“archives”–instead of my usual meanderings. The reason I have done so is called August. School starts next week and I am hip deep in alligators, I mean, meetings. There’s lots to get done before the students show up, and I have been cutting corners to do so.

But I have news to share. The new cover for Tom Horn is complete, and in the stories. At least the ebook has the new cover. I hope to finish the paper edition this week, along with half a dozen other things that are due. But look for my second blog today to learn the details on the new cover.

In the meantime, Shelly and I drove down to Austin yesterday and picked up our grandson, Gavin. We’ll be spending time with the little critter this week while his parents get settled into new jobs. So this blog and my other work will be done in-between episodes of Team Umizoomi, Dora the Explorer and Mighty Mega Monster Trucks.

I am sincerely looking forward to classes starting next week. But in the meantime, the little honyonk is awake, so I need to stop for a while.

Talk to you later.
