In Twenty Minutes….

In twenty minutes, the first class of the first day of classes of the 2012-2013 school year begins for me.

I will approach it with an optimistic attitude.

I will be prepared for all of my classes, with plenty of time to grade and review my students’ work.

I will be able to accomplish my many other responsibilities during the school year, including committee duties, sponsorship of clubs and publications, editor of the Southwesterner and Spirit publications, and webmaster.

I will be successful in launching the school’s new website, and will deal with the issues and complaints that arise without any rise in my blood pressure.

I will be able to continue to write and edit creatively, more for my own peace of mind than for any monetary remuneration.

AND I will be a loving husband and cheerful, supportive father during this year.

At least, that’s the plan….
