Don’t get me wrong. I’m proud of Infinity’s Reach, excited about the launch this weekend, and feel it is one of the best books I’ve ever written. And I want lots and lots of people to buy, read and enjoy my book.

But why buy it when you can get it free?

We have less than 36 hours left in the Infinity’s Reach Escape Clause Contest, and I have books–autographed, first-edition paperbacks–that I am willing to give to participants in the contest. I will even mail them to you so you don’t have to come to North Texas and get them. But in order to win one, you have to enter the contest. And the contest end TOMORROW.

For those who are more into e-books, there’s a quicker and easier way to get a free copy. Starting at midnight Friday night and ending at midnight Sunday night, I will make the e-book for Infinity’s Reach available on Amazon free of charge. That does two things for me: first, it gets the word out about the new book, and hopefully will result in more sales. Second, every person who downloads Infinity’s Reach this weekend helps raise it in Amazon ranking. If it raises high enough, Amazon starts paying attention and starts giving IR a higher profile. And that is a good thing.

So I am being mercenary–and pragmatic–about this whole thing. Do yourself a favor, and do me a favor. Get the paperback or get the ebook. Free.
