The Great Adventure

I want to try something different, and I need your help.

I read that Andy Weir, author of The Martian, started his book off by posting it chapter by chapter on his website and looking for feedback from his readers. I would like to do the same thing.

This isn’t the first time that I’ve posted my writing on this website. I’ve posted my short stories on here many times before. But always before I posted them as blog postings, something that appears and then disappears. In addition, when you are submitting chapters for a book, and you present chapter one, then chapter two, then chapter three, each chapter ends up on top of each other, with the later chapters on top.

I didn’t want that to happen, and since this is a long-term commitment, I decided I am going to post it as part of my header on the main page. So if you go to the main page of http://glenchen.com and look at the top of the page on the right you will see Tesla’s Ghost listed there. Right now, there’s only Chapter One listed under it, but in the next few days I will be adding chapters two and three as well. How many more chapters I add depends on how much feedback I get. If no one seems interested, then we will move on to other things. But if people show some interest, then maybe there is some promise in this experiment.

Anyway, I encourage you to check out the page. The chapters are long, I’ll warn you, but I think the reading will be interesting. Most importantly, let me know what you think. Because I really want to know.
