I was driving to a doctor’s appointment in my Ford F-150 pickup yesterday, mentally slogging through my usual mundane worries and stresses. The street from the freeway to the doctor’s office in Fort Worth took me past a parking garage with a sidewalk between the garage and the street. As I drove in the right … More Saving a Life

Just as I promised, here is the sequel to yesterday’s blog entitled “What MEN really want.” It’s pretty obvious that it’s not much of a stretch for me to think about what I want from women and generalize it to all men. And right after finishing it, I realized half a dozen other things that … More From the Archive: What WOMEN Really Want

I came to the realization this morning that one of the big reasons I haven’t been writing more than I have is because I have been waiting for something profound to say. First big mistake.   “Wass mann nicht sterbt, macht mann stark.”–Nietsche I wrote a couple of days ago about how each of us has a story that we are destined to tell. We are working in the back yard this morning. We got up early–well, sort of–and tried to get as much weed pulling done before it gone hot. But 9, 10, and then 10:30 came and the sun started beating down. We thought about jumping in the pool, and that led us to think about our … More From the Archive: Cooper’s Surprise

As many who see my Facebook page are aware, yesterday I did something out of the ordinary for me. I’m no cupcake. I love football, I laugh hard and play hard. But yesterday was my first time getting both a manicure and a pedicure. Here’s how it happened. Shelly, my wife, was scheduled for a … More Archive: I did it, and I am glad
